in
the end, well, in the end it was a grinning Tony
Mirando who went head to head with the faster mini
scoots and placed a mere 3rd overall from the two
motos (second in his class), whilst I eeked out
a third in the day one moto (had to exit early to
get back to a boorish thing called work...yawn implied)...he
flew through the track with a smarter gearing, a
well adjusted pipe and carb kit, a knee dropped
and tucked at the right times, and probably most
prevalent, the lad did it all with a broad grin...just
as maddeningly fast John Berry did in his race (John
is over Tony's shoulder to the right in the pic
talking though his bright teeth at most likely his
normalized speed of say about 450mph)...
which is what makes these great ESSCAPEs simply
grand (never mind that we are hooked now to flogging
the minis as one well should given the fun times
had by one and all!)...we'll take another series
of consecutive days (make that years) of this if
you please...
