in the end, well, in the end it was a grinning Tony Mirando who went head to head with the faster mini scoots and placed a mere 3rd overall from the two motos (second in his class), whilst I eeked out a third in the day one moto (had to exit early to get back to a boorish thing called work...yawn implied)...he flew through the track with a smarter gearing, a well adjusted pipe and carb kit, a knee dropped and tucked at the right times, and probably most prevalent, the lad did it all with a broad grin...just as maddeningly fast John Berry did in his race (John is over Tony's shoulder to the right in the pic talking though his bright teeth at most likely his normalized speed of say about 450mph)...

which is what makes these great ESSCAPEs simply grand (never mind that we are hooked now to flogging the minis as one well should given the fun times had by one and all!)...we'll take another series of consecutive days (make that years) of this if you please...
